Lauren Rathvon, L.Ac., DOM
Lauren Rathvon is a nationally board certified and Florida licensed Acupuncture Physician. Lauren received her first bachelor’s degree from New College of Florida; she went on to receive her education in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine from East West College of Natural Medicine in Sarasota, Florida. Lauren is certified in Acupuncture Point Injection Therapy, as well as Constitutional Facial Renewal™, where she trained under Mary Elizabeth Wakefield at Yo San University in Los Angeles. Lauren has also treated inpatients at Sarasota’s HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital, providing care for post-stroke and post-trauma patients. In addition, she is the Oriental Medicine instructor at Mountain Meadow Massage School in scenic Ruidoso, New Mexico.
Lauren understands that the healthier the body, the happier the spirit–and vice versa. She has always been involved in crafting healthy, innovative lifestyles; from her time working at the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies in Rhinebeck, NY, to her role as Marketing & Community Relations Director at Whole Foods Market in San Francisco, Lauren has shared her passion for healthy and positive living with the world at large. Lauren has a unique skill for putting both her patients and students at ease, while arming them with the self-knowledge they need for true healing; she believes the highest form of medicine is helping others to realize and pursue their happiness. Along with Chinese Medicine, Lauren brings an enthusiastic knowledge of nutrition, supplements, homeopathy, and energetic healing to her patients in order to awaken satisfaction and purpose in their lives.
